Pesticides, Agrochemicals and Biocides
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is the agency responsible for protecting human health and the environment.
Product Safety Labs (PSL) conducts thousands of toxicology and analytical chemistry studies each year in support of the agrochemical and pesticide industries. In addition, we offer support to the growing market place for biopesticides, including Microbial Pest Control Agents (MPCA). PSL conducts more acute toxicity tests (acute 6-pack) for submission to the EPA than any other laboratory in the world. The toxicology group has developed expertise in the conduct of acute inhalation toxicity tests for regulatory agencies around the globe.
Our protocols are based on all applicable domestic and international testing guidelines including:
- Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OCSPP - formerly OPPTS) Harmonized Test Guidelines
- Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals
- Official Journal of the European Communities - Methods for the Determination of Toxicity and Other Health Effects
- Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (JMAFF) Testing Guidelines
PSL also offers antimicrobial efficacy evaluation for global regulatory submission.
